Captain's Welcome Message

Welcome to everyone from your Captains at Stoneleigh Deer Park for the 2009/2010 season. Our golf club is renowned for its warm welcome both on the course and in the clubhouse to members and visitors alike. A tradition we are glad to uphold and keen to maintain.

The course is getting better and looking more beautiful every year and the improvements will continue. There cannot be many courses set in an area of such natural beauty and with our greenstaff working so hard to maintain and improve the standard, we can't go wrong.

The Men's, Ladies, Stags and Junior section all have a wide range of competitions throughout the year, both serious and serious fun so everyone must be accommodated somewhere!

As Captain's we look forward to meeting most of you, playing with as many people as possible and supporting the numerous social events on the programme.

Our Captains chosen charity for the coming year is Make-A-Wish which grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening illnesses. At any given time, over 20,000 children in the UK are living with life-threatening conditions. A wish that is granted brings a time of magic and joy for these children and also to their families. Whether a wish is to meet a celebrity for the day, own the latest computer equipment or just enjoy some special time away from home with their family, a wish come true brings so much to a child's life and provides memories for the family that will last a lifetime. The support from Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club and members is legendary in raising money for Charities. Throughout the coming year there will be numerous charity and social events to raise money for our charity. We do hope that you will continue to support and give generously to this worthwhile charity.

With all the different problems around the country at the present time, the golf course is one place we can all relax in friendship and good company.

So with the 'Big Man' upstairs all we need is sunshine on our backs, hard fairways and nearly straight putts. We are all looking forward to the season and we hope you are. Good luck!!
