Stoneleigh hosted the Annual Men's Seniors Open on Thursday 20th August, with a full field of 180 players taking part in the Pairs Betterball Stableford.

Congratulations to the overall winners Mick Jephcott and Tony Britton, both members of Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club, scoring a total of 43 points.

Runners Up by just one point, was the pairing of Ray Stringer and Nick Kirby also from Stoneleigh Deer Park GC with 42 stableford points.

Rick Pedrick and Mick Brown, also from Stoneleigh Deer Park GC took 3rd prize, with their score of 41 points.

After count back, 4th place was awarded to Anthony Wilks and Michael O'Toole from Whetstone GC and 5th place to Brian Hick and Graham Miles from Stoneleigh, both with a score of 40 points.

With a total of 11 pairs scoring 39 points,after count backs,  6th place went to Barry McVeigh and Ted Jasinski of Stoneleigh and 7th prize awarded to Brendan Nunan and Mike Hoey from Painswick Golf Club.

Hole Prize winners were:

Nearest the Pin: 9th hole - Howard Pettifer (Brampton Heath); 11th hole - Graham Miles (Stoneleigh); 13th hole - Neville Burton (Stoneleigh); 15th hole: Don Stanley (Leamington & County)

Longest Drive on 10th hole was Chris Peake (Kenilworth)

There were 11 two's in total.
