Avon Timber would like to invite you to our 6th Annual Par 3 Charity Golf Day,
The tournament format will be stroke play, with three divisional prizes, a ladies’ prize and nearest the pin prizes on every hole.
This year’s chosen charity is Myton Hospice.
The cost to enter is £12 per player, which includes 9 Holes of Golf with Prize Presentation and food in the evening. Men & Ladies are welcome.
There are ample sponsorship opportunities and we would be very grateful for your further support. Perhaps your company, friends or associates would like to sponsor a hole, nearest the pin or simply donate. Please contact us for full details.
We are looking to our friends in the trade to help us make this event a great success and raise as much money as possible for a very worthy cause.
With your help “We Can Make A Difference”.
Last year Myton Hospice supported more than 1,400 people and their families, in their three hospices, via their patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home. They are currently struggling with some of the hardest financial challenges they have ever had to face. Increasing costs and a constantly growing demand for their care, means that they could soon be confronted with some difficult decisions about what they can provide in the future. Myton Hospice are a charity and have to raise £9.2 million each year to continue to provide their services free of charge.
They can’t do it without support from people like you.
Our Vision
The Myton Hospices believe everyone in Coventry and Warwickshire should live well towards the end of their life and have the right to a good, natural death, the way they want it to be and with their loved ones supported.
Our Mission
The Myton team provide high quality, specialist care to people whose condition no longer responds to curative treatment, from diagnosis to death. We aim to meet their physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs and ensure their families are supported both through and after this difficult time. We are also committed to training, supporting and encouraging other care providers to practise good palliative care.
We anticipate a full course and look forward to receiving your entry on the forms enclosed.
We hope that you will help make this one of the most rewarding days in your golfing calendar.

The Avon Timber Par 3 Charity Golf Day 2014
Report
19th August 2014: The day started with a small group of what we believe are called hardcore golfers arriving early to warm up on the main course before making their assault on the Par 3 championship.
A special mention to Jarrod, Ian & Bruce who played 9 holes in the morning, the Par 3 Championship and then 18 holes in the afternoon, as none of them were in the prizes we can only assume they will prepare differently next year! Well done on your marathon day guys.
We were blessed by the pre-ordered weather and it is fair to say that the standard was very high with the nearest the pins getting closer and closer as the day progressed. So much so that it culminated in Johnny Reay’s HOLE IN ONE on the 4th hole, congratulations Johnny.
