The Ladies Spring Open (rescheduled from April) was played on Sunday 8th July and the weather stayed dry for them throughout the afternoon.

Confratuil;ations to the winning team of Jackie Payne (Stratford Oaks GC), Pat Aprile (Shirley GC)  and Belinda Rouse (Redditch GC) carded a tremendous score of 77 points.

The team in second place were Debbie Naylor and Rahela Gordon, all from Harborne GC with a score of 72 points.

Third place with a score of 71 points was awarded to Kully Wain, Teresa Wright and Brenda Sparrow, all members of Stoneleigh Deer Park Golf Club.

Nearest the pin for Bronze division on 9th hole was won by Selina Hodgkins from Cherwell Edge GC. and nearest the pin on 15th hole for silver division was awarded to Kully Wain (SDPGC) 

Longest drive for for Silver division on 5th hole was won by Chris Urry from The Worcs GC and longest drive for bronze division on 18th hole was won by Chris Wilkes (SDPGC).

Well done ladies and a big thank you to everyone who took part in the day both the competitiors and the helpers behind the scene,  Jeanette Jackson (registration), Jim Whitehead & Jim Britton (starters), Ann Jones (twos), Janet Groves, Laurine Cann and Jean Whidborne (raffle).

A big thank you to Chris Britton,Lady Captain for organising the raffle for the 2012 Captains Charity which raised a total of £145.00 towards the STARLIGHT Children's Foundation.
