It was a pleasant summer’s evening last Friday when the PAR 3 Texas 2 Ball Scramble was held. The evening began with draw for partners followed by a shotgun start at 6pm with some very competitive pairs taking part in the ‘fun’ competition for members and their guests followed by a delicious Roast Pork Supper with dessert.

The format was a drawn pairs 2 Ball Texas Scramble on 'Odd' numbered holes with both scores to count on the  'Evens', a challenging but most enjoyable game for everyone.

The winning pair with a score of 44 gross was Simon Roberts and Marion Parsons who were awarded the prize..  Chris Britton and Roger Burton were the runners-up with a score of 46 gross,  Just beaten in to 3^rd place by 1 shot with 47 gross was the pairing of Les Parson and Jenny Pitts.
