On a glorious Autumn morning a team representing the Vice Captain met a team representing the Past Captain in the annual match. The format for this is a little complicated and tests the numerical and logical minds of the Stags as it comprises 6 mini matches , two of Texas Scramble, two of Foursomes and two of Better Ball. This year there were 11 matches and a total of £132 was raised for the Capstan's Charity.
There was on significant result that won a small prize, a 6 nil win for Peter Jamieson and Roy Perry.
On the individual matches ( six per match) the Past Captain's team won by 35.5 points to 30.5 points but in this format points do not mean prizes and matches count. In this event the Vice Captains team won by 7 matches to 4.
