Seniors Open - Thursday November 28th

Stoneleigh's Xmas Senior Open was held on Thursday 28th November with a total of 39 pairs taking part.

Stoneleigh's pairing of Ray Stringer and John Usher were aiming to win their 3rd consecutive Seniors Open at home, but were denied the 'treble' title by 1 point with the pairing of Martin Stanley (Hilltop GC) and Brian Johnstone from Drayton GC taking the top slot.

Martin Stanley and Brian Johnstone were awarded 1st Prize with their tremendous score of 44 points. Second place was won by Ray Stringer and John Usher (Stoneleigh GC) with 43 points.  Third place with scores of 43 points was down to countback on the back 6, giving Ron Edmondson and Ted Jasinski 3rd prize wherby 4th place was awarded to the pairing of Andy Hewitt  and Nicky Kirby all from Stoneleigh GC.

Nearest the Pins: 9th Hole was won by Steve Bale (Stoneleigh); 11th Hole won by Colin Hart (Horsley Lodge); 13th Hole won by Terry Smith ( Henley GC) & 15th Hole by Brian Coldrick (Halesowen GC)

Longest Drive on the 10th Hole was won by Ron Edmondson (Stoneleigh GC)
