2011 - Ladies PAR 3 Competitions

This competition is open to all SDPGC ladies and will be held in 2 divisions.

Division 1 –         PAR 3 ladies only (No handicap)

Division 2 -          Main course ladies who have handicaps will receive a PAR 3 handicap as follows:

H/cap 0 – 10       =        PAR 3 H/cap of   -4

H/cap 11 –20      =        PAR 3 H/cap of   -3

H/cap 21 – 30     =        PAR 3 H/cap of   -2

H/cap 31 – 36     =        PAR 3 H/cap of   -1

Gross scores over 9 holes.  Record your gross score per hole

Meet time:          by 9.45am

Starting time:     10.00am

Entry Fee:            £2.00 per competition

Pay entry fee in Pro shop

Please hand your signed cards in to the organiser of day at end of your round.  Check that your card is signed.

Winning monies paid out in vouchers pro-rata the number of entries.

Although the weather was not so kind to us, this did not deter  24 Par 3 lady members sitting  down to an early Christmas lunch after a 9 hole competition. Prizes were presented down to fourth place, and due to their competitive sprit and not feeling 100% a small gift were presented to Marjorie Russell & Dita Gibson  thanking them for their support.

Lady Captain thanked the catering & bar staff, Mrs, Reay for the course and table balloons' also Patricia Sayers for the beautiful table floral decorations, and wished everyone a safe journey home and their support.

Once again there was a very good turnout of ladies to play in the Lady Captain's PAR 3 competition a total of 18 ladies took part.

The Lady Captain's Par 3 competition played on Tuesday 10th August was once again very well supported by the ladies. 

The prize to the Overall  Winner went to Betty Whitburn who pipped Pat Sayers into 2nd place overall with Margaret Jones taking 3rd Place overall.  The Best Front 9 was carded by Florence Wild and the Best Front 9 won by Linda Johnson.

Lady Captain , Ann Jones introduced a new  PAR 3 competition for the ladies section, the first of which was played on 20th April.  Seventeen ladies competed in this  event, over 9 holes, came in for light refreshments and a discussion on next game. This will be over 18 holes on the Par3, format medal, date scheduled for Monday 10th May.
